Cerner Soarian Interoperability

Combined, Cerner Soarian and SIS solutions help providers manage the complete perioperative workflow.

Siemens

Surgical Information Systems (SIS) offers proven interoperability between the SIS perioperative management solution and Cerner Soarian® Clinicals using industry standard approaches and vendor-specific interoperability solutions.

Advanced interoperability between Soarian® Clinicals and the SIS perioperative management solution facilitates the flow of essential patient information across the perioperative department and throughout the enterprise, including:

  • Global Session Manager (GSM), which provides single sign-on capabilities and enables SIS to be launched from Soarian Clinicals and vice versa
  • Med Administration Check (MAK), which enables nurses to view orders, administer medications, and record medication administration information from SIS
  • Quality Measure Extract (QME), which is used for reporting Meaningful Use Core Measures
  • Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA), which is used for reporting Meaningful Use eMeasures

"As a Siemens shop, we wanted to make sure we had a perioperative solution that would integrate back to our record. The SIS solution meets that need and helps ensure we have a single patient record across our two hospitals and surgery center.”
